³³ Now the men were watching for an omen; they quickly took it up from him and said, “Yes, Ben-hadad is your brother.” Then he said, “Go and bring him.” So Ben-hadad came out to him, and he had him come up into the chariot.

³¹ He replied, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to get in and sit beside him.

⁸ And his master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly, for the children of this age are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than are the children of light.^(A)

¹⁵ When he left there, he met Jehonadab son of Rechab coming to meet him; he greeted him and said to him, “Is your heart as true to mine as mine is to yours?”^[a] Jehonadab answered, “It is.” Jehu said,^[b] “If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand. Jehu took him up with him into the chariot.^(A)
