⁵⁰ Now Adonijah was afraid of Solomon; so he arose, and went and ^(A)took hold of the horns of the altar.

²⁸ Then news came to Joab, for Joab ^(A)had defected to Adonijah, though he had not defected to Absalom. So Joab fled to the tabernacle of the Lord, and ^(B)took hold of the horns of the altar.

² He made its horns on its four corners; the horns were of one piece with it. And he overlaid it with bronze.
