⁴ Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for ^(A)he who is in you is greater than ^(B)he who is in the world.

God's Everlasting Love

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? ^(A)If God is for us, who can be^[a] against us?

⁴ For ^(A)everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—^(B)our faith.

³⁷ No, in all these things we are more than ^(A)conquerors through ^(B)him who loved us.

¹⁶ So ^(A)we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. ^(B)God is love, and ^(C)whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

¹⁰ But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. ¹¹ If the Spirit of ^(A)him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus^[a] from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies ^(B)through his Spirit who dwells in you.

¹⁹ We know that we are from God, and ^(A)the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

¹² For ^(A)we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against ^(B)the rulers, against the authorities, against ^(C)the cosmic powers over ^(D)this present darkness, against ^(E)the spiritual forces of evil ^(F)in the heavenly places. ¹³ Therefore ^(G)take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in ^(H)the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.

¹² Now ^(A)we have received not ^(B)the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.
