¹⁹ And by this we ^[a]know ^(A)that we are of the truth, and shall ^[b]assure our hearts before Him.

²² let us ^(A)draw near with a true heart ^(B)in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

²¹ Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, ^(A)we have confidence toward God.

¹⁰ For ^(A)God is not unjust to forget ^(B)your work and ^[a]labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ^(C)ministered to the saints, and do minister. ¹¹ And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence ^(D)to the full assurance of hope until the end,

¹² For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, ^(A)for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

²¹ and being fully convinced that what He had promised ^(A)He was also able to perform.

³⁷ Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”

Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, ^(A)that I should bear ^(B)witness to the truth. Everyone who ^(C)is of the truth ^(D)hears My voice.”

^35 (A)By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love ^[a]his brother abides in death.
