²⁴ I do not mean to imply that we lord it over your faith; rather, we are workers with you for your joy because you stand firm in faith.^(A)

²⁴ Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.^(A)

Trust and Joy in the Midst of Trouble

²⁵ Since I am convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with all of you for your progress and joy in faith, ²⁶ so that, by my presence again with you, your boast might abound in Christ Jesus because of me.^(A)

¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.^(A)

²⁹ He who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom who stands and hears him rejoices greatly at the bridegroom’s voice. For this reason my joy has been fulfilled.^(A)
