Live as You Are Called

¹⁷ But as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let him walk. And ^(A)so I ^[a]ordain in all the churches.

¹⁷ For this reason I have sent ^(A)Timothy to you, ^(B)who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will ^(C)remind you of my ways in Christ, as I ^(D)teach everywhere ^(E)in every church.

²⁴ Brethren, let each one remain with ^(A)God in that state in which he was called.

Serve God with Spiritual Gifts

³ For I say, ^(A)through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, ^(B)not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt ^(C)to each one a measure of faith. ⁴ For ^(D)as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, ⁵ so ^(E)we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. ⁶ Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is ^(F)given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us ^(G)prophesy in proportion to our faith; ⁷ or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; ^(H)he who teaches, in teaching; ^8 (I)he who exhorts, in exhortation; ^(J)he who gives, with liberality; ^(K)he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, ^(L)with cheerfulness.

²⁸ besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: ^(A)my deep concern for all the churches.

²⁰ Let each one remain in the same calling in which he was called. ²¹ Were you called while a slave? Do not be concerned about it; but if you can be made free, rather use it.

¹⁸ Was anyone called while circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? ^(A)Let him not be circumcised.

¹⁸ And we have sent with him ^(A)the brother whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches,

³³ For God is not the author of ^[a]confusion but of peace, ^(A)as in all the churches of the saints.
