¹⁹ Or ^(A)do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? ^(B)You are not your own,

^16 (A)Do you not know that you^[a] are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?

¹⁶ What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For ^(A)we are the temple of the living God; as God said,

^5 (A)you yourselves like living stones are being built up as ^(B)a spiritual house, to be ^(C)a holy priesthood, ^(D)to offer spiritual sacrifices ^(E)acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

^21 (A)in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into ^(B)a holy temple in the Lord. ²² In him ^(C)you also are being built together ^(D)into a dwelling place for God by^[a] the Spirit.

¹⁵ Do you not know that ^(A)your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! ¹⁶ Or do you not know that he who is joined^[a] to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, ^(B)“The two will become one flesh.”

^14 (A)who gave himself for us to ^(B)redeem us from all lawlessness and ^(C)to purify for himself ^(D)a people for his own possession who are ^(E)zealous for good works.

²¹ But he was speaking about ^(A)the temple of his body.
