^5 (A)deliver such a one to ^(B)Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord ^[a]Jesus.

²⁰ of whom are ^(A)Hymenaeus and ^(B)Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to ^(C)blaspheme.

¹⁴ And if anyone does not obey our word in this ^[a]epistle, note that person and ^(A)do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed. ^15 (B)Yet do not count him as an enemy, ^(C)but ^[b]admonish him as a brother.

Bring Back the Erring One

¹⁹ Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone ^(A)turns him back, ²⁰ let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way ^(B)will save ^[a]a soul from death and ^(C)cover a multitude of sins.

Bear and Share Burdens

6 Brethren, if a man is ^[a]overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of ^(A)gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. ^2 (B)Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill ^(C)the law of Christ.

^10 (A)Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the ^(B)authority which the Lord has given me for edification and not for destruction.

¹³ But those who are outside God judges. Therefore ^(A)“put away from yourselves the evil person.”

^6 (A)And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”

^6 (A)and being ready to punish all disobedience when ^(B)your obedience is fulfilled.
