² For I decided to know nothing among you except ^(A)Jesus Christ and him crucified.

¹⁴ But far be it from me to boast ^(A)except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which^[a] the world ^(B)has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

^3 (A)And this is eternal life, ^(B)that they know you, ^(C)the only ^(D)true God, and ^(E)Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

⁸ Indeed, I count everything as loss because of ^(A)the surpassing worth of ^(B)knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I ^(C)have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ ⁹ and be found in him, not having ^(D)a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but ^(E)that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— ^10 (F)that I may know him and ^(G)the power of his resurrection, and ^(H)may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

²² For ^(A)Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, ²³ but we preach Christ ^(B)crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, ²⁴ but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ ^(C)the power of God and ^(D)the wisdom of God. ²⁵ For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

By Faith, or by Works of the Law?

3 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? ^(A)It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly ^(B)portrayed as crucified.
