¹² Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but ^(A)the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

²⁷ But the ^(A)anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and ^(B)you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing ^(C)teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you ^[a]will abide in Him.

⁵ For ^(A)those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, ^(B)the things of the Spirit. ⁶ For ^(C)to be ^[a]carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

¹⁹ We know that we are of God, and ^(A)the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

²⁰ And we know that the ^(B)Son of God has come and ^(C)has given us an understanding, ^(D)that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. ^(E)This is the true God ^(F)and eternal life.

²⁰ But ^(A)you have an anointing ^(B)from the Holy One, and ^(C)you^[a] know all things.

^14 (A)He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. ^15 (B)All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He ^[a]will take of Mine and declare it to you.

⁴ You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than ^(A)he who is in the world. ^5 (B)They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and ^(C)the world hears them.

⁴ whose minds ^(A)the god of this age ^(B)has blinded, who do not believe, lest ^(C)the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, ^(D)who is the image of God, should shine on them.

¹⁵ For ^(A)you did not receive the spirit of bondage again ^(B)to fear, but you received the ^(C)Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ^(D)“Abba,^[a] Father.” ^16 (E)The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
