The Resurrection of Christ

15 Now I want you to understand, brothers and sisters, the good news^[a] that I proclaimed to you, which you in turn received, in which also you stand,^(A)

There Is No Other Gospel

⁶ I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— ⁷ not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are confusing you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.^{(A) 8} But even if we or an angel^[a] from heaven should proclaim to you a gospel contrary to what we proclaimed to you, let that one be accursed!^{(B) 9} As we have said before, so now I repeat, if anyone proclaims to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let that one be accursed!

¹⁰ Am I now seeking human approval or God’s approval? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still pleasing people, I would not be a servant of Christ.^(C)

Paul’s Vindication of His Apostleship

¹¹ For I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel that was proclaimed by me is not of human origin,^{(D) 12} for I did not receive it from a human source, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

Final Greetings and Benediction

¹² Through Silvanus, whom I consider a faithful brother, I have written this short letter to encourage you and to testify that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.^(A)

³ For I handed on to you as of first importance what I in turn had received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures^{(A) 4} and that he was buried and that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures^{(B) 5} and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.^{(C) 6} Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died.^{[a] 7} Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.^{(D) 8} Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.^{(E) 9} For I am the least of the apostles, unfit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.^{(F) 10} But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me has not been in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I but the grace of God that is with me.^{(G) 11} Whether then it was I or they, so we proclaim and so you believed.

²⁴ I do not mean to imply that we lord it over your faith; rather, we are workers with you for your joy because you stand firm in faith.^(A)

² through whom we have obtained access^[a] to this grace in which we stand, and we^[b] boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.^(A)

¹⁶ on the day when, according to my gospel, God through Christ Jesus judges the secret thoughts of all.^(A)

⁴ Every Sabbath he would argue in the synagogue and would try to convince Jews and Greeks.^(A)

⁵ When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with proclaiming the word,^[a] testifying to the Jews that the Messiah^[b] was Jesus.^(B)

Peter’s Report to the Church at Jerusalem

11 Now the apostles and the brothers and sisters who were in Judea heard that the gentiles had also accepted the word of God.
