The Resurrection of Christ

15 Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel^(A) I preached to you,^(B) which you received and on which you have taken your stand.

No Other Gospel

⁶ I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called^(A) you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel^(B)— ⁷ which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion^(C) and are trying to pervert^(D) the gospel of Christ. ⁸ But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you,^(E) let them be under God’s curse!^{(F) 9} As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted,^(G) let them be under God’s curse!

¹⁰ Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people?^(H) If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Paul Called by God

¹¹ I want you to know, brothers and sisters,^(I) that the gospel I preached^(J) is not of human origin. ¹² I did not receive it from any man,^(K) nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation^(L) from Jesus Christ.^(M)

Final Greetings

¹² With the help of Silas,^[a](A) whom I regard as a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly,^(B) encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.^(C)

³ For what I received^(A) I passed on to you^(B) as of first importance^[a]: that Christ died for our sins^(C) according to the Scriptures,^{(D) 4} that he was buried,^(E) that he was raised^(F) on the third day^(G) according to the Scriptures,^{(H) 5} and that he appeared to Cephas,^[b](I) and then to the Twelve.^{(J) 6} After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.^{(K) 7} Then he appeared to James,^(L) then to all the apostles,^{(M) 8} and last of all he appeared to me also,^(N) as to one abnormally born.

⁹ For I am the least of the apostles^(O) and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted^(P) the church of God.^{(Q) 10} But by the grace^(R) of God I am what I am, and his grace to me^(S) was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them^(T)—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.^{(U) 11} Whether, then, it is I or they,^(V) this is what we preach, and this is what you believed.

²⁴ Not that we lord it over^(A) your faith, but we work with you for your joy, because it is by faith you stand firm.^(B)

² through whom we have gained access^(A) by faith into this grace in which we now stand.^(B) And we^[a] boast in the hope^(C) of the glory of God.

¹⁶ This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets^(A) through Jesus Christ,^(B) as my gospel^(C) declares.

⁴ Every Sabbath^(A) he reasoned in the synagogue,^(B) trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.

⁵ When Silas^(C) and Timothy^(D) came from Macedonia,^(E) Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah.^(F)

11 The apostles and the believers^(A) throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.^(B)
