² If I have the gift of prophecy^(A) and can fathom all mysteries^(B) and all knowledge,^(C) and if I have a faith^(D) that can move mountains,^(E) but do not have love, I am nothing.

⁸ Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.^(A)

³ If I give all I possess to the poor^(A) and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,^[a](B) but do not have love, I gain nothing.

²⁰ He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith^(A) as small as a mustard seed,^(B) you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.^(C) Nothing will be impossible for you.”

²¹ Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt,^(A) not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.

²² But the fruit^(A) of the Spirit is love,^(B) joy, peace,^(C) forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

²² If anyone does not love the Lord,^(A) let that person be cursed!^(B) Come, Lord^[a]!^(C)

13 If I speak in the tongues^[a](A) of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

²⁰ Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister^(A) is a liar.^(B) For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen,^(C) cannot love God, whom they have not seen.^{(D) 21} And he has given us this command:^(E) Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.^(F)
