A Good Minister’s Discipline

⁶ In pointing out these things to ^(A)the brothers and sisters, you will be a good ^(B)servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the ^(C)good doctrine which you ^(D)have been following.

³ If anyone ^(A)advocates a different doctrine and does not ^[a]agree with ^(B)sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine ^(C)conforming to godliness,

³ For ^(A)the time will come when they will not tolerate ^(B)sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires,

^9 (A)holding firmly the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to ^[a]exhort in ^(B)sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict it.

¹³ This testimony is true. For this reason ^(A)reprimand them ^(B)severely so that they may be ^(C)sound in the faith,
