⁷For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.^(A)

¹¹Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, ^(A)what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,

¹¹Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives

⁸Bear fruit ^(A)in keeping with repentance.
