¹³ As soon as you enter the city you will find him before he goes up to the high place to eat, for the people will not eat until he comes, because ^(A)he must bless the sacrifice; afterward those who are invited will eat. Now then, go up, for you will find him about this time.”

³⁶ and He took the seven loaves and the fish; and after ^(A)giving thanks, He broke them and started giving them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.

The Lord’s Supper Instituted

^26 (A)Now while they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and ^[a](B)after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”

⁴¹ And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He ^(A)blessed the food and broke the loaves and He gave them to the disciples again and again to set before them; and He divided the two fish among them all.

⁷ They also had a few small fish; and ^(A)after He had blessed them, He told the disciples to serve these as well.

The Lord’s Supper

^22 (A)While they were eating, He took some bread, and ^[a]after a ^(B)blessing He broke it, and gave it to them, and said, “Take it; this is My body.”

³⁰ And it came about, when He had reclined at the table with them, that He took the bread and ^(A)blessed it, and He broke it and began giving it to them.

³⁵ Having said this, he took bread and ^(A)gave thanks to God in the presence of them all, and he broke it and began to eat.

⁶ The one who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and the one who eats, ^[a]does so with regard to the Lord, for he ^(A)gives thanks to God; and the one who does not eat, it is for the Lord that he does not eat, and he gives thanks to God.
