39 So when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, (A)“Blessed be the Lord, who has (B)pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and has (C)kept His servant from evil! For the Lord has (D)returned the wickedness of Nabal on his own head.”

And David sent and proposed to Abigail, to take her as his wife.

All the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets. So Athaliah tore her clothes and cried out, “Treason! Treason!”

15 And Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of the hundreds, the officers of the army, and said to them, “Take her outside [b]under guard, and slay with the sword whoever follows her.” For the priest had said, “Do not let her be killed in the house of the Lord.” 16 So they seized her; and she went by way of the horses’ entrance into the king’s house, and there she was killed.

15 Jehoiada the priest ordered the commanders of units of a hundred, who were in charge of the troops: “Bring her out between the ranks[a] and put to the sword anyone who follows her.” For the priest had said, “She must not be put to death in the temple(I) of the Lord.” 16 So they seized her as she reached the place where the horses enter(J) the palace grounds, and there she was put to death.(K)
