⁷The women ^(A)sang as they ^[a]played, and said,

“^(B)Saul has slain his thousands,
^(C)And David his ten thousands.”

New International Version

⁷As they danced, they sang:^(A)

“Saul has slain his thousands,
and David his tens^(B) of thousands.”

¹¹But the ^(A)servants of Achish said to him, “Is this not David, the king of the land? ^(B)Did they not sing of this one as they danced, saying,

‘Saul has slain his thousands,
And David his ten thousands’?”

¹¹But the servants of Achish said to him, “Isn’t this David, the king of the land? Isn’t he the one they sing about in their dances:

“‘Saul has slain his thousands,
and David his tens of thousands’?”^(A)
