13 But rejoice to the extent that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed you may also rejoice exultantly.(A) 14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.(B) 15 But let no one among you be made to suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as an intriguer. 16 But whoever is made to suffer as a Christian should not be ashamed but glorify God because of the name.

13 But rejoice(A) inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ,(B) so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.(C) 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ,(D) you are blessed,(E) for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.(F)
