1 Peter 4:12-14 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Suffering and Glory
12 Beloved friends, if life gets extremely difficult, with many tests,[a] don’t be bewildered as though something strange were overwhelming you.[b] 13 Instead, continue to rejoice, for you, in a measure, have shared in the sufferings of the Anointed One so that you can share in the revelation of his glory and celebrate with even greater gladness![c] 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are greatly blessed,[d] because the Spirit of glory and power,[e] who is the Spirit of God, rests upon you.[f]
1 Peter 4:12-14 New International Version (NIV)
Suffering for Being a Christian
12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.
