23 (A)having been born again, not of [a]corruptible seed but [b]incorruptible, (B)through the word of God which lives and abides [c]forever, 24 because

(C)“All flesh is as grass,
And all [d]the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
25 (D)But the [e]word of the Lord endures forever.”

(E)Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

Our Inheritance Through Christ’s Blood

Therefore, (F)laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, (G)as newborn babes, desire the pure (H)milk of the word, that you may grow [f]thereby, if indeed you have (I)tasted that the Lord is gracious.
