1 Kings 8:56-61
English Standard Version
56 “Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. (A)Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant. 57 The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. (B)May he not leave us or forsake us, 58 that he may (C)incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his rules, which he commanded our fathers. 59 Let these words of mine, with which I have pleaded before the Lord, be near to the Lord our God day and night, and may he maintain the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel, as each day requires, 60 that (D)all the peoples of the earth may know that (E)the Lord is God; there is no other. 61 (F)Let your heart therefore be wholly true to the Lord our God, walking in his statutes and keeping his commandments, as at this day.”

English Standard Version
10 Now there was a disciple at Damascus named (A)Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, (B)“Here I am, Lord.” 11 And the Lord said to him, “Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man (C)of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying, 12 and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and (D)lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.” 13 But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, (E)how much evil he has done to (F)your (G)saints at Jerusalem. 14 And here he has authority from (H)the chief priests to bind all who (I)call on your name.” 15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for (J)he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name (K)before the Gentiles and (L)kings and the children of Israel. 16 For (M)I will show him how much (N)he must suffer (O)for the sake of my name.” 17 So (P)Ananias departed and entered the house. And (Q)laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and (R)be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and (S)he regained his sight. Then (T)he rose and was baptized; 19 and (U)taking food, he was strengthened.
