19 उ गरीब मनइ ओन व्यक्ति स बेहतर अहइ जउन झूट बोलत ह अउ मूरख अहइ।
2 बिना गियान क उत्साह राखब नीक नाहीं अहइ एहसे उतावली मँ गलती होइ जात ह।
3 मनई आपन बेवकूफी स आपन जिन्नगी बिगाड़ लेत ह, मुला उ यहोवा क दोखी ठहरावत ह।
4 धन स बहोत सारे मीत बन जात हीं, मुला गरीब जन क ओकर मीत भी तजि जात ह।
5 लबार गवाह बगैर सजा पाए नाहीं बची अउर जउन झूठ उगलत रहत ह, छूटइ नाहीं पाई।
6 बहोत स लोग सासक क खुस करइ क जतन करत ह अउर हर एक मनइ ओकर मीत बन जावा चाहत हीं, जउन उपहार देत रहत ह।
7 निर्धन क सब संबंधी ओहसे कतरात हीं। ओकर मीत ओहसे केतना बचत फिरत हीं, जदपि उ ओन लोगन स मदद बरे बिनती करत हीं तउ पइ भी उ पचे ओकर लगे नाहीं जाइहीं।
8 जउन गियान पावत ह उ आपन प्राण स ही प्रीति राखत ह, उ जउन समुझ-बूझ बढ़ावत रहत ह फलत अउर फूलत ह।
9 लबार गवाह सजा पाए बिना नाहीं बची, अउर उ, जउन झूठ उगलत रहत ह, ध्वस्त होइ जाइ।
10 मूरख धनी नाहीं बनइ चाही। उ अइसे होइ जइसे कउनो दास युवराजन पइ राज करइ।
11 बुद्धिमान मनइ सदा साँत रहत ह। जब उ ओन लोगन क छिमा करत ह जउन ओकरे खिलाफ होइँ, तउ ओकर सम्मान अउर भी बढ़ जात ह।
12 राजा क किरोध सेर क दहाड़ जइसा अहइ, मुला ओकर कृपा घास पइ ओसे क बूँद स होत ह।
13 मूरख पूत आपन बाप बरे बिनासे क लावत ह। अउर एक झगरालू पत्नी हमेसा टपकइ वाला पानी क नाईं अहइ।
14 भवन अउ धन-दौलत महतारी बाप स विरासत मँ मिल जात ह। मुला बुद्धिमान पत्नी यहोवा क ओर स धन्न अहइ।
15 आलस गहिर घोर नींद देत ह; मुला उ आलसी भूखा मरत ह।
16 अइसा मनई जउन आदेसन पइ चलत ह उ आपन जिन्नगी क रच्छा करत ह। मुला जउन आदेसन क उपेच्छा करत ह उ निहचय ही मउत अपनावत ह।
17 गरीब पइ किरपा देखाउब यहोवा क उधार देब अहइ, यहोवा ओका, ओकरे इ कामे क प्रतिफल देइ।
18 तू आपन पूत क अनुसासित करा अउर ओका सजा द्या, जब उ अनुचित होइ। बस इहइ आसा अहइ। अगर तू अइसा करइ क मना करा, तब तउ तू ओकरे बिनासे मँ ओकर सहायक बनत अहा।
19 अगर कउनो मनई क तुरंत किरोध आवइ, ओका एकर कीमत चुकावइ क होइ। अगर तू ओकर रच्छा करत अहा, तउ केतनी ही बार तोहे ओका बचावइ क होइ।
20 सुमति पइ धियान द्या अउर सुधार क अपनाइ ल्या तू जेहसे आखीर मँ तू बुद्धिमान बन जा।
21 मनई अपने मने मँ का का करइ क सोचत ह; कितुं यहोवा क जोजना पूरा होत ह।
22 लोग चाहत हीं मनई बिस्सास जोग्ग अउ सच्चा होइ। एह बरे गरीबी मँ बिस्सास क जोग्ग अउ सच्चा बनके रहब उचित अहइ अइसा मनई स जउन झूटा अउर धनी अहइ।
23 यहोवा क भय सच्ची जिन्नगी क राह देखावत ह, एहसे मनई सान्ति पावत ह अउर कस्ट स बचत ह।
24 एक आलसी आपन हाथ थारी मँ डालत ह मुला उ ओका मुँहे तलक उठावइ मँ बहोत सुस्ती क अनुभव करत ह।
25 ठट्ठा करइवाला मनई क मारा ताकि एक साधारन जन आहसे सीख पाइ। मामूली डाँट डपट ही एक बुद्धिमान मनई बरे काफी होत ह।
26 अइसा पूत जउन निन्दा क जोग्ग करम करत ह घरे क अपमान होत ह; उ अइसा होत ह जइसे पूत कउनो आपन बाप स छोरइ अउर घरे स असहाय महतारी क निकारि बाहेर करइ।
27 हे मोर पूत अगर अनुसासन पइ धियान देब तजि देब्या, तउ तू गियान क बचनन स भटक जाब्या।
28 भ्रस्ट गवाह निआव क सम्मान नाहीं देत ह। अउर दुस्ट क मुँह बुराई क भस्म कर देत ह।
29 उ जउन सम्मान नाहीं देत ह सजा पाइ, अउर मूरख जन क पीठ कोड़न खाइ।

19 Better the poor whose walk is blameless
than a fool whose lips are perverse.(A)
2 Desire without knowledge is not good—
how much more will hasty feet miss the way!(B)
4 Wealth attracts many friends,
but even the closest friend of the poor person deserts them.(E)
7 The poor are shunned by all their relatives—
how much more do their friends avoid them!(K)
Though the poor pursue them with pleading,
they are nowhere to be found.[a](L)
8 The one who gets wisdom loves life;
the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.(M)
9 A false witness will not go unpunished,
and whoever pours out lies will perish.(N)
10 It is not fitting for a fool(O) to live in luxury—
how much worse for a slave to rule over princes!(P)
11 A person’s wisdom yields patience;(Q)
it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.
13 A foolish child is a father’s ruin,(U)
and a quarrelsome wife is like
the constant dripping of a leaky roof.(V)
15 Laziness brings on deep sleep,
and the shiftless go hungry.(Y)
16 Whoever keeps commandments keeps their life,
but whoever shows contempt for their ways will die.(Z)
17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord,(AA)
and he will reward them for what they have done.(AB)
18 Discipline your children, for in that there is hope;
do not be a willing party to their death.(AC)
19 A hot-tempered person must pay the penalty;
rescue them, and you will have to do it again.
20 Listen to advice and accept discipline,(AD)
and at the end you will be counted among the wise.(AE)
21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.(AF)
22 What a person desires is unfailing love[b];
better to be poor than a liar.
23 The fear of the Lord leads to life;
then one rests content, untouched by trouble.(AG)
24 A sluggard buries his hand in the dish;
he will not even bring it back to his mouth!(AH)
25 Flog a mocker, and the simple will learn prudence;
rebuke the discerning,(AI) and they will gain knowledge.(AJ)
26 Whoever robs their father and drives out their mother(AK)
is a child who brings shame and disgrace.
27 Stop listening to instruction, my son,(AL)
and you will stray from the words of knowledge.
28 A corrupt witness mocks at justice,
and the mouth of the wicked gulps down evil.(AM)
29 Penalties are prepared for mockers,
and beatings for the backs of fools.(AN)
