⁶ Jesus answered, “I am^(A) the way^(B) and the truth^(C) and the life.^(D) No one comes to the Father except through me.^(E)

¹⁰ The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life,^(A) and have it to the full.^(B)

⁹ However, as it is written:

¹⁰ these are the things God has revealed^(B) to us by his Spirit.^(C)

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

⁵⁴ When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”^[a](A)

⁵⁶ The sting of death is sin,^(C) and the power of sin is the law.^{(D) 57} But thanks be to God!^(E) He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.^(F)

²⁰ Now to him who is able^(A) to do immeasurably more than all we ask^(B) or imagine, according to his power^(C) that is at work within us, ²¹ to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.^(D)
