Colossians 3:5-17
New American Standard Bible
5 (A)Therefore, [a]treat (B)the parts of your earthly body as dead to (C)sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which [b]amounts to idolatry. 6 For it is because of these things that (D)the wrath of God is coming [c]upon the [d]sons of disobedience, 7 and (E)in them you also once walked, when you were living [e]in them. 8 But now you also, (F)rid yourselves of all of them: (G)anger, wrath, malice, slander, and (H)obscene speech from your mouth. 9 [f](I)Do not lie to one another, since you (J)stripped off the old [g]self with its evil practices, 10 and have (K)put on the new self, which is being [h](L)renewed to a true knowledge (M)according to the image of the One who (N)created it— 11 a renewal in which (O)there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, (P)circumcised and uncircumcised, [i](Q)barbarian, [j]Scythian, (R)slave, and free, but (S)Christ is all, and in all.
12 So, as those who have been (T)chosen of God, holy and beloved, (U)put on a (V)heart of compassion, kindness, (W)humility, gentleness, and [k](X)patience; 13 (Y)bearing with one another, and (Z)forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; (AA)just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also. 14 In addition to all these things put on love, which is [l](AB)the perfect bond of (AC)unity. 15 Let (AD)the peace of Christ, to which you were [m]indeed called in (AE)one body, [n]rule in your hearts; and [o]be thankful. 16 Let (AF)the word of [p]Christ richly dwell within you, [q]with all wisdom (AG)teaching and admonishing [r]one another (AH)with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, (AI)singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 (AJ)Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, (AK)giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
