5 SED, pues, imitadores de Dios como hijos amados:
2 Y andad en amor, como también Cristo nos amó, y se entregó á sí mismo por nosotros, ofrenda y sacrificio á Dios en olor suave.
3 Pero fornicación y toda inmundicia, ó avaricia, ni aun se nombre entre vosotros, como conviene á santos;
4 Ni palabras torpes, ni necedades, ni truhanerías, que no convienen; sino antes bien acciones de gracias.
5 Porque sabéis esto, que ningún fornicario, ó inmundo, ó avaro, que es servidor de ídolos, tiene herencia en el reino de Cristo y de Dios.
6 Nadie os engañe con palabras vanas; porque por estas cosas viene la ira de Dios sobre los hijos de desobediencia.
7 No seáis pues aparceros con ellos;
8 Porque en otro tiempo erais tinieblas; mas ahora sois luz en el Señor: andad como hijos de luz,
9 (Porque el fruto del Espíritu es en toda bondad, y justicia, y verdad;)
10 Aprobando lo que es agradable al Señor.
11 Y no comuniquéis con las obras infructuosas de las tinieblas; sino antes bien redargüidlas.
12 Porque torpe cosa es aun hablar de lo que ellos hacen en oculto.
13 Mas todas las cosas cuando son redargüidas, son manifestadas por la luz; porque lo que manifiesta todo, la luz es.
14 Por lo cual dice: Despiértate, tú que duermes, y levántate de los muertos, y te alumbrará Cristo.
15 Mirad, pues, cómo andéis avisadamente; no como necios, mas como sabios;
16 Redimiendo el tiempo, porque los días son malos.
17 Por tanto, no seáis imprudentes, sino entendidos de cuál sea la voluntad del Señor.
18 Y no os embriaguéis de vino, en lo cual hay disolución; mas sed llenos de Espíritu;
19 Hablando entre vosotros con salmos, y con himnos, y canciones espirituales, cantando y alabando al Señor en vuestros corazones;
20 Dando gracias siempre de todo al Dios y Padre en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo:
21 Sujetados los unos á los otros en el temor de Dios.
22 Las casadas estén sujetas á sus propios maridos, como al Señor.
23 Porque el marido es cabeza de la mujer, así como Cristo es cabeza de la iglesia; y él es el que da la salud al cuerpo.
24 Así que, como la iglesia está sujeta á Cristo, así también las casadas lo estén á sus maridos en todo.
25 Maridos, amad á vuestras mujeres, así como Cristo amó á la iglesia, y se entregó á sí mismo por ella,
26 Para santificarla limpiándola en el lavacro del agua por la palabra,
27 Para presentársela gloriosa para sí, una iglesia que no tuviese mancha ni arruga, ni cosa semejante; sino que fuese santa y sin mancha.
28 Así también los maridos deben amar á sus mujeres como á sus mismos cuerpos. El que ama á su mujer, á sí mismo se ama.
29 Porque ninguno aborreció jamás á su propia carne, antes la sustenta y regala, como también Cristo á la iglesia;
30 Porque somos miembros de su cuerpo, de su carne y de sus huesos.
31 Por esto dejará el hombre á su padre y á su madre, y se allegará á su mujer, y serán dos en una carne.
32 Este misterio grande es: mas yo digo esto con respecto á Cristo y á la iglesia.
33 Cada uno empero de vosotros de por sí, ame también á su mujer como á sí mismo; y la mujer reverencie á su marido.

5 (A)И тъй, подражавайте Богу, като чеда възлюбени,
2 (B)и живейте в любов, както и Христос ни възлюби и за нас предаде Себе Си принос и жертва Богу за приятно благоухание.
3 (C)А блудство и всяка нечистота или користолюбие дори и да се не споменуват между вас, както прилича на светии,
4 (D)нито пък срамни и празни думи и смехории, които са неприлични, а наопаки, да се чува благодарение.
5 (E)Защото това трябва да знаете, че никой блудник, или нечист, или користолюбец, който е идолослужител, няма наследство в царството на Христа и Бога.
6 (F)Никой да ви не прелъстява с празни думи, защото заради всичко това дохожда гневът Божий върху синовете на неверието;
7 и тъй, не ставайте техни съучастници.
8 (G)Вие бяхте някога тъмнина, а сега сте светлина в Господа; постъпвайте като чеда на светлината,
9 (H)защото плодът на Духа се състои във всяка доброта, правда и истина –
10 и изпитвайте, що е благоугодно Богу.
11 (I)Не участвувайте в безплодните дела на тъмнината; напротив, изобличавайте ги.
12 Защото за онова, което нечестивците скришом вършат, срамно е и да се говори.
13 (J)А всичко, което се изобличава, от светлината става явно: понеже всичко, което бива явно, е светлина.
14 (K)Затова е казано: стани ти, който спиш, и възкръсни от мъртвите, и ще те осветли Христос.
15 (L)И тъй, гледайте, колко внимателно трябва да постъпвате: не като неразумни, а като мъдри,
16 като скъпите времето, защото дните са лукави.
17 (M)Затова недейте бива неразсъдливи, а разпознавайте, що е воля Божия.
18 (N)И не се опивайте с вино, от което произлиза разпътство; но се изпълняйте с Дух,
19 (O)като се назидавате сами с псалми и славославия и с песни духовни, пеейки и възпявайки в сърцата си Господа,
20 (P)като благодарите винаги за всичко на Бога и Отца, в името на Господа нашего Иисуса Христа,
21 като се покорявате един другиму в страх Божий.
22 (Q)Вие, жените, покорявайте се на мъжете си, като на Господа,
23 (R)защото мъжът е глава на жената, както и Христос е глава на църквата, и Той е спасител на тялото.
24 Но както църквата се покорява на Христа, така и жените да се покоряват на мъжете си във всичко.
25 (S)Вие, мъжете, обичайте жените си, както и Христос обикна църквата и предаде Себе Си за нея,
26 (T)за да я освети, като я очисти с водната баня чрез словото;
27 (U)за да я представи на Себе Си славна църква, която няма петно, или порок, или нещо подобно, но да бъде света и непорочна.
28 Тъй са длъжни мъжете да обичат жените си, както обичат телата си: който обича жена си, себе си обича.
29 Защото никой никога не е намразил плътта си, а я храни и съгрява, както и Господ – църквата,
30 понеже ние сме членове на тялото Му – от плътта Му и от костите Му.
31 (V)„Затова ще остави човек баща си и майка си и ще се прилепи към жена си, и ще бъдат двамата една плът“.
32 Тази тайна е велика; но аз говоря за Христа и за църквата.
33 Тъй и всеки един от вас така да обича жена си, както обича себе си, а жената да се бои от мъжа си.

5 1 Follow God’s example,(A) therefore, as dearly loved children(B) 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us(C) and gave himself up for us(D) as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.(E)
3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality,(F) or of any kind of impurity, or of greed,(G) because these are improper for God’s holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk(H) or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.(I) 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater(J)—has any inheritance(K) in the kingdom of Christ and of God.[a](L) 6 Let no one deceive you(M) with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath(N) comes on those who are disobedient.(O) 7 Therefore do not be partners with them.
8 For you were once(P) darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light(Q) 9 (for the fruit(R) of the light consists in all goodness,(S) righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord.(T) 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness,(U) but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light(V) becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said:
15 Be very careful, then, how you live(Z)—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity,(AA) because the days are evil.(AB) 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.(AC) 18 Do not get drunk on wine,(AD) which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,(AE) 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit.(AF) Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks(AG) to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Instructions for Christian Households(AH)
21 Submit to one another(AI) out of reverence for Christ.
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands(AJ) as you do to the Lord.(AK) 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church,(AL) his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands(AM) in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives,(AN) just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her(AO) 26 to make her holy,(AP) cleansing[b] her by the washing(AQ) with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself(AR) as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.(AS) 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives(AT) as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body.(AU) 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”[c](AV) 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife(AW) as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
