El río de vida
22 Luego el ángel me mostró un río de agua de vida, claro como el cristal, que salía del trono de Dios y del Cordero 2 y corría por el centro de la calle[a] principal de la ciudad. A cada lado del río estaba el árbol de la vida, que produce doce cosechas al año, una por mes; y las hojas del árbol son para la salud de las naciones. 3 Ya no habrá maldición. El trono de Dios y del Cordero estará en la ciudad. Sus siervos lo adorarán; 4 lo verán cara a cara y llevarán su nombre en la frente. 5 Ya no habrá noche; no necesitarán luz de lámpara ni de sol, porque el Señor Dios los alumbrará. Y reinarán por los siglos de los siglos.
6 El ángel me dijo: «Estas palabras son verdaderas y dignas de confianza. El Señor, el Dios que inspira a los profetas,[b] ha enviado a su ángel para mostrar a sus siervos lo que tiene que suceder sin demora».
Cristo viene pronto
7 «¡Miren que vengo pronto! Dichoso el que cumple las palabras del mensaje profético de este libro».
8 Yo, Juan, soy el que vio y oyó todas estas cosas. Y cuando lo vi y oí, me postré para adorar al ángel que me había estado mostrando todo esto. 9 Pero él me dijo: «¡No, cuidado! Soy un siervo como tú, como tus hermanos los profetas y como todos los que cumplen las palabras de este libro. ¡Adora solo a Dios!».
10 También me dijo: «No guardes en secreto las palabras del mensaje profético de este libro, porque el tiempo de su cumplimiento está cerca. 11 Que el malo siga haciendo el mal y que el vil siga envileciéndose; deja que el justo siga practicando la justicia y que el santo siga santificándose».
12 «¡Miren que vengo pronto! Traigo conmigo mi recompensa y le pagaré a cada uno según lo que haya hecho. 13 Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, el Primero y el Último, el Principio y el Fin.
14 »Dichosos los que lavan sus ropas para tener derecho al árbol de la vida y para poder entrar por las puertas de la ciudad. 15 Pero afuera se quedarán los perros, los que practican las artes mágicas, los que cometen inmoralidades sexuales, los asesinos, los idólatras y todos los que aman y practican la mentira.
16 »Yo, Jesús, he enviado a mi ángel para darles testimonio de estas cosas que conciernen a las iglesias. Yo soy la raíz y la descendencia de David, la brillante estrella de la mañana».
17 El Espíritu y la novia dicen: «¡Ven!»; y el que escuche diga: «¡Ven!». El que tenga sed, venga; y el que quiera, tome gratuitamente del agua de la vida.
18 A todo el que escuche las palabras del mensaje profético de este libro le advierto esto: Si alguno le añade algo, Dios le añadirá a él las plagas descritas en este libro. 19 Y si alguno quita palabras de este libro de profecía, Dios le quitará su parte del árbol de la vida y de la ciudad santa, descritos en este libro.
20 El que da testimonio de estas cosas dice: «Sí, vengo pronto».
Amén. ¡Ven, Señor Jesús!

22 Next the angel showed me the river of the water of life, sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 Between the main street and the river was the Tree of Life producing twelve kinds of fruit, a different kind every month; and the leaves of the tree were for healing the nations — 3 no longer will there be any curses. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will worship him; 4 they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 Night will no longer exist, so they will need neither the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because Adonai, God, will shine upon them. And they will reign as kings forever and ever.
6 Then he said to me, “These words are true and trustworthy: Adonai, God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must happen soon.”
7 “Look! I am coming very soon. Blessed is the person who obeys the words of the prophecy written in this book!”
8 Then I, Yochanan, the one hearing and seeing these things, when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel showing them to me. 9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am only a fellow-servant with you and your brothers, the prophets and the people who obey the words in this book. Worship God!”
10 Then he said to me, “Don’t seal up the words of the prophecy in this book,[a] because the time of their fulfillment is near.
11 “Whoever keeps acting wickedly, let him go on acting wickedly;
whoever is filthy, let him go on being made filthy.
“Also, whoever is righteous, let him go on doing what is righteous;
and whoever is holy, let him go on being made holy.”
12 “Pay attention!” [says Yeshua,] “I am coming soon, and my rewards are with me to give to each person according to what he has done. 13 I am the ‘A’ and the ‘Z,’ the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
14 How blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they have the right to eat from the Tree of Life and go through the gates into the city! 15 Outside are the homosexuals, those involved with the occult and with drugs, the sexually immoral, murderers, idol-worshippers, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. 16 “I, Yeshua, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the Messianic communities. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star. 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come!’ Let anyone who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let anyone who is thirsty come — let anyone who wishes, take the water of life free of charge.”
18 I warn everyone hearing the words of the prophecy in this book that if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues written in this book. 19 And if anyone takes anything away from the words in the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the Tree of Life and the holy city, as described in this book.
20 “The one who is testifying to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon!’”
Amen! Come, Lord Yeshua!
21 May the grace of the Lord Yeshua be with all!

22 Then the angel showed me the river(A) of the water of life,(B) as clear as crystal,(C) flowing(D) from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life,(E) bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.(F) 3 No longer will there be any curse.(G) The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.(H) 4 They will see his face,(I) and his name will be on their foreheads.(J) 5 There will be no more night.(K) They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light.(L) And they will reign for ever and ever.(M)
John and the Angel
6 The angel said to me,(N) “These words are trustworthy and true.(O) The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets,(P) sent his angel(Q) to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”
7 “Look, I am coming soon!(R) Blessed(S) is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.”(T)
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things.(U) And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet(V) of the angel who had been showing them to me. 9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll.(W) Worship God!”(X)
10 Then he told me, “Do not seal up(Y) the words of the prophecy of this scroll,(Z) because the time is near.(AA) 11 Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”(AB)
Epilogue: Invitation and Warning
12 “Look, I am coming soon!(AC) My reward is with me,(AD) and I will give to each person according to what they have done.(AE) 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega,(AF) the First and the Last,(AG) the Beginning and the End.(AH)
14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes,(AI) that they may have the right to the tree of life(AJ) and may go through the gates(AK) into the city.(AL) 15 Outside(AM) are the dogs,(AN) those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
16 “I, Jesus,(AO) have sent my angel(AP) to give you[a] this testimony for the churches.(AQ) I am the Root(AR) and the Offspring of David,(AS) and the bright Morning Star.”(AT)
17 The Spirit(AU) and the bride(AV) say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.(AW)
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll:(AX) If anyone adds anything to them,(AY) God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll.(AZ) 19 And if anyone takes words away(BA) from this scroll of prophecy,(BB) God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life(BC) and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
20 He who testifies to these things(BD) says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”(BE)
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.(BF)
21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people.(BG) Amen.
