12 原來，從雅各那裡來的一些人到達之前，磯法與外邦人一起吃飯；可是那些人一到，他因為怕那些割禮派的人[a]，就退縮，與外邦人分開了。 13 其餘的猶太人也跟著他裝假，以致連巴拿巴也被他們的偽善引入歧途。 14 但我一看見他們的行為不符合福音的真理，就在大家面前對磯法[b]說：「你身為猶太人，如果像外邦人而不像猶太人那樣生活，怎麼還要強求外邦人像猶太人一樣呢？」

12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.
14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
