Psalm 118:17-21
New American Standard Bible
17 I (A)will not die, but live,
And (B)tell of the works of [a]the Lord.
18 [b]The Lord has (C)disciplined me severely,
But He has (D)not turned me over to death.
19 (E)Open the gates of righteousness to me;
I will enter through them, I will give thanks to [c]the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord;
The (F)righteous will enter through it.
21 I will give thanks to You, for You have (G)answered me,
And You have (H)become my salvation.

And declare the works and recount the illustrious acts of the Lord.

The Lord has disciplined me severely,
But He has not given me over to death.(A)

Open to me the [temple] gates of righteousness;
I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to the Lord.

This is the gate of the Lord;
The righteous will enter through it.(B)
21
I will give thanks to You, for You have heard and answered me;
And You have become my salvation [my Rescuer, my Savior].
