Psalm 16:5-11

New International Version

⁵ Lord, you alone are my portion^(A) and my cup;^(B)
    you make my lot^(C) secure.
⁶ The boundary lines^(D) have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    surely I have a delightful inheritance.^(E)
7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;^(F)
    even at night^(G) my heart instructs me.
⁸ I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
    With him at my right hand,^(H) I will not be shaken.^(I)

⁹ Therefore my heart is glad^(J) and my tongue rejoices;
    my body also will rest secure,^(K)
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,^(L)
    nor will you let your faithful^[a] one^(M) see decay.^(N)
11 You make known to me the path of life;^(O)
    you will fill me with joy in your presence,^(P)
    with eternal pleasures^(Q) at your right hand.^(R)
