³ And as He was sitting on ^(A)the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of ^(B)Your coming, and of the ^[a]end of the age?”

⁴ And Jesus answered and said to them, “^(C)See to it that no one ^[b]misleads you. ⁵ For ^(D)many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the ^[c]Christ,’ and they will ^[d]mislead many people. ⁶ And you will be hearing of ^(E)wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. ⁷ For ^(F)nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be ^(G)famines and earthquakes in various places. ^8 (H)But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pains.

⁹ “^(I)Then they will hand you over to tribulation and kill you, and ^(J)you will be hated by all nations because of My name. ¹⁰ And at that time many will ^[e](K)fall away, and they will ^[f]betray one another and hate one another. ¹¹ And many ^(L)false prophets will rise up and ^[g]mislead many people. ¹² And because lawlessness is increased, ^[h]most people’s love will become cold. ^13 (M)But the one who endures to the end is the one who will be saved.

⁷ For ^(A)the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only ^[a](B)He who now restrains will do so until ^[b]He is ^[c]removed. ⁸ Then that lawless one ^(C)will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate ^(D)with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the ^(E)appearance of His ^[d]coming; ⁹ that is, the one whose ^[e]coming is in accord with the activity of ^(F)Satan, with all power and false ^[f](G)signs and wonders, ¹⁰ and with ^[g]all the deception of wickedness for ^(H)those who perish, because they did not accept the love of ^(I)the truth so as to be saved. ¹¹ For this reason ^(J)God ^[h]will send upon them ^[i]a ^(K)deluding influence so that they will believe ^[j]what is false, ¹² in order that they all may be ^[k]judged who ^(L)did not believe the truth, but ^[l](M)took pleasure in wickedness.

⁶ And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, ^(A)those who dwell in heaven.

⁷ It was also given to him to ^(B)make war with the ^[a]saints and to overcome them, and authority was given to him over ^(C)every tribe, people, language, and nation. ⁸ All who ^(D)live on the earth will worship him, everyone ^(E)whose name has not been ^[b]written ^(F)since the foundation of the world in the ^(G)book of life of ^(H)the Lamb who has been slaughtered.

^8 (A)For the one who sows to his own flesh will reap ^(B)destruction from the flesh, but ^(C)the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.

²⁵ Then I will ^(A)sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your ^(B)filthiness and from all your ^(C)idols. ²⁶ Moreover, I will give you a ^(D)new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the ^(E)heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. ²⁷ And I will ^(F)put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and ^[a]follow My ordinances.

⁵ For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on ^(A)the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, ^(B)the things of the Spirit. ^6 (C)For the mind ^[a]set on the flesh is ^(D)death, but the mind ^[b]set on the Spirit is life and peace, ⁷ because the mind ^[c]set on the flesh is ^(E)hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, ⁸ and those who are ^(F)in the flesh cannot please God.

⁹ However, you are not ^(G)in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God ^(H)dwells in you. But ^(I)if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. ^10 (J)If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is ^[d]alive because of righteousness. ¹¹ But if the Spirit of Him who ^(K)raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, ^(L)He who raised ^(M)Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies ^[e]through His Spirit who dwells in you.

¹² So then, brothers and sisters, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— ¹³ for ^(N)if you are living in accord with the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you are ^(O)putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. ¹⁴ For all who are ^(P)being led by the Spirit of God, these are ^(Q)sons and daughters of God.

²⁵ Jesus said to her, “^(A)I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies, ²⁶ and everyone who lives and believes in Me ^(B)will never die. Do you believe this?” ²⁷ She *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; I have come to believe that You are ^(C)the ^[a]Christ, the Son of God, and ^[b](D)He who comes into the world.”

¹⁹ Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, ^(A)the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever ^[a]the Father does, these things the Son also does in the same way. ^20 (B)For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and the Father will show Him ^(C)greater works than these, so that you will be amazed. ²¹ For just as the Father raises the dead and ^(D)gives them life, so ^(E)the Son also gives life to whom He wishes. ²² For not even the Father judges anyone, but ^(F)He has given all judgment to the Son, ²³ so that all will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. ^(G)The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

²⁴ “Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and ^(H)believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and ^(I)does not come into judgment, but has ^(J)passed out of death into life.
