¹⁴ Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
    if you find it, there will be ^(A)a future,
    and your hope will not be cut off.

¹⁸ Surely ^(A)there is a future,
    and your ^(B)hope will not be cut off.

¹⁰ for wisdom will come into your heart,
    and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;

¹⁶ Your words were found, ^(A)and I ate them,
    and ^(B)your words became to me a joy
    and the delight of my heart,
^(C)for I am called by your name,
    O Lord, God of hosts.

¹⁰³ How ^(A)sweet are your words to my taste,
    sweeter than honey to my mouth!

¹⁸ for it will be pleasant if you keep them within you,
    if all of them are ready on your lips.

^13 (A)Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
    and the one who gets understanding,
^14 (B)for the gain from her is better than gain from silver
    and her profit better than ^(C)gold.
¹⁵ She is more precious than ^(D)jewels,
    and ^(E)nothing you desire can compare with her.
^16 (F)Long life is in her right hand;
    in her left hand are ^(G)riches and honor.
¹⁷ Her ^(H)ways are ways of pleasantness,
    and all her paths are peace.
¹⁸ She is ^(I)a tree of life to those who ^(J)lay hold of her;
    those who hold her fast are called blessed.

¹⁰ More to be desired are they than ^(A)gold,
    even much ^(B)fine gold;
^(C)sweeter also than honey
    and drippings of ^(D)the honeycomb.
¹¹ Moreover, by them is your servant warned;
    ^(E)in keeping them there is great reward.
