²⁴ Then He said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear. By the measure^(A) you use,^[a](B) it will be measured and added^(C) to you.

³⁸ Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over—will be poured into your lap.^(A) For with the measure you use,^[a] it will be measured back to you.”^(B)

God’s Righteous Judgment

2 Therefore, any one of you^[a](A) who judges is without excuse.^(B) For when you judge another,^(C) you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the same things.

¹⁰ But you, why do you criticize your brother? Or you, why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before the tribunal of God.^[a](A)

¹³ For judgment is without mercy to the one who hasn’t shown mercy.^(A) Mercy triumphs over judgment.
