¹⁸ But Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.

¹⁹ So then, when the Lord Jesus had ^(A)spoken to them, He ^(B)was received up into heaven and ^(C)sat down at the right hand of God.

¹⁶ After He was baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and ^[a](A)he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and ^[b]settling on Him, ¹⁷ and behold, a voice from the heavens said, “^(B)This is ^[c]My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

²³ He *said to them, “^(A)My cup you shall drink; but to sit at My right and at My left is not Mine to give, ^(B)but it is for those for whom it has been ^(C)prepared by My Father.”

⁴⁶ And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “^(A)Eli, Eli, lema sabaktanei?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

⁴¹ So they removed the ^(A)stone. And Jesus ^(B)raised His eyes, and said, “^(C)Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.

Jesus Comforts His Disciples

14 “^(A)Do not let your heart be troubled; ^[a]believe in God, believe also in Me.

^28 (A)You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away, and ^(B)I am coming to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced ^[a]because ^(C)I am going to the Father, for ^(D)the Father is greater than I.

Jesus Is Baptized

^21 (A)Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized, and while He was ^(B)praying, heaven was opened, ²² and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came from heaven: “^(C)You are My beloved Son, in You I am well pleased.”
