¹⁴ I will punish you as your deeds^(A) deserve,
    declares the Lord.
I will kindle a fire^(B) in your forests^(C)
    that will consume everything around you.’”

³² The arrogant^(A) one will stumble and fall^(B)
    and no one will help her up;^(C)
I will kindle a fire^(D) in her towns
    that will consume all who are around her.”

⁸ Then they will know that I am the Lord,
    when I set fire^(A) to Egypt
    and all her helpers are crushed.^(B)

⁴ I will send fire^(A) on the house of Hazael^(B)
    that will consume the fortresses^(C) of Ben-Hadad.^(D)
