³¹ “^(A)Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a ^(B)new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, ³² not like the ^(C)covenant which I made with their fathers on the day I ^(D)took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My ^(E)covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord. ³³ “For ^(F)this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord: “^(G)I will put My law within them and write it on their heart; and ^(H)I will be their God, and they shall be My people. ³⁴ They will ^(I)not teach again, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all ^(J)know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will ^(K)forgive their wrongdoing, and their ^(L)sin I will no longer remember.”

³⁷ Behold, I am going to ^(A)gather them out of all the lands to which I have driven them in My anger, in My wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them back to this place and ^(B)have them live in safety. ³⁸ They shall be ^(C)My people, and I will be their God; ³⁹ and I will ^(D)give them one heart and one way, so that they will fear Me always, for their own ^(E)good and for the good of their children after them. ⁴⁰ I will make an ^(F)everlasting covenant with them that I will ^(G)not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will ^(H)put the fear of Me in their hearts, so that they will not turn away from Me. ⁴¹ I will ^(I)rejoice over them to do them good and will ^[a]faithfully ^(J)plant them in this land with ^(K)all My heart and all My soul. ⁴² For this is what the Lord says: ‘^(L)Just as I brought all this great disaster on this people, so I am going to ^(M)bring on them all the good that I am promising them.

²¹ “As for Me, this is My ^(A)covenant with them,” says the Lord: “My ^(B)Spirit who is upon you, and My ^(C)words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your ^[a]offspring, nor from the mouth of your ^[b]offspring’s offspring,” says the Lord, “from now and forever.”
