(A)In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to (B)the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and [a]prudence, (C)having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure (D)which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of (E)the fullness of the times (F)He might gather together in one (G)all things in Christ, [b]both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 (H)In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to (I)the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 (J)that we (K)who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard (L)the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, (M)you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 (N)who[c] is the [d]guarantee of our inheritance (O)until the redemption of (P)the purchased possession, (Q)to the praise of His glory.

23 For (A)the husband is head of the wife, as also (B)Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands (C)in everything.

25 (D)Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and (E)gave Himself for her, 26 that He might [a]sanctify and cleanse her (F)with the washing of water (G)by the word, 27 (H)that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, (I)not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. 28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. 30 For (J)we are members of His body, [b]of His flesh and of His bones. 31 (K)“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the (L)two shall become one flesh.” 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
