11 In him we have obtained (A)an inheritance, (B)having been predestined (C)according to the purpose of him who works all things according to (D)the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be (E)to the praise of his glory. 13 In him you also, when you heard (F)the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, (G)were sealed with the (H)promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is (I)the guarantee[a] of our (J)inheritance until (K)we acquire (L)possession of it,[b] (M)to the praise of his glory.

Thanksgiving and Prayer

15 For this reason, (N)because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love[c] toward all the saints, 16 I (O)do not cease to give thanks for you, (P)remembering you in my prayers, 17 that (Q)the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, (R)may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18 (S)having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is (T)the hope to which he has called you, what are (U)the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, (V)according to the working of (W)his great might 20 that he worked in Christ (X)when he raised him from the dead and (Y)seated him at his right hand (Z)in the heavenly places, 21 (AA)far above (AB)all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above (AC)every name that is named, not only in (AD)this age but also in the one to come. 22 And (AE)he put all things under his feet and gave him as (AF)head over all things to the church, 23 (AG)which is his body, (AH)the fullness of him (AI)who fills (AJ)all in all.

By Grace Through Faith

(AK)And you were (AL)dead in the trespasses and sins (AM)in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following (AN)the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in (AO)the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in (AP)the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body[d] and the mind, and (AQ)were by nature (AR)children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.[e] But[f] God, being (AS)rich in mercy, (AT)because of the great love with which he loved us, even (AU)when we were dead in our trespasses, (AV)made us alive together with Christ—(AW)by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and (AX)seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable (AY)riches of his grace in (AZ)kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For (BA)by grace you have been saved (BB)through faith. And this is (BC)not your own doing; (BD)it is the gift of God, (BE)not a result of works, (BF)so that no one may boast. 10 For (BG)we are his workmanship, (BH)created in Christ Jesus (BI)for good works, (BJ)which God prepared beforehand, (BK)that we should walk in them.

One in Christ

11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called (BL)the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— 12 remember (BM)that you were at that time separated from Christ, (BN)alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to (BO)the covenants of promise, (BP)having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were (BQ)far off have been brought near (BR)by the blood of Christ. 14 For (BS)he himself is our peace, (BT)who has made us both one and has broken down (BU)in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in (BV)ordinances, that he might create in himself one (BW)new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16 and might (BX)reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. 17 And he came and (BY)preached peace to you who were (BZ)far off and peace to those who were (CA)near. 18 For (CB)through him we both have (CC)access in (CD)one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer (CE)strangers and aliens,[g] but you are (CF)fellow citizens with the saints and (CG)members of the household of God, 20 (CH)built on the foundation of the (CI)apostles and prophets, (CJ)Christ Jesus himself being (CK)the cornerstone, 21 (CL)in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into (CM)a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him (CN)you also are being built together (CO)into a dwelling place for God by[h] the Spirit.
