^7 (A)“Be strong and courageous; ^(B)do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria, nor before all the multitude that is with him; for ^(C)there are more with us than with him. ⁸ With him is an ^(D)arm of flesh; but ^(E)with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

¹⁷ and if children, then ^(A)heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, ^(B)if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

From Suffering to Glory

¹⁸ For I consider that ^(C)the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. ¹⁹ For ^(D)the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

¹⁷ For ^(A)in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ^(B)“The just shall live by faith.”

^18 (A)while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
