Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary Definition of Truth:
Conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been, or shall be. The truth of history constitutes its whole value. We rely on the truth of the scriptural prophecies.
The natural mind does not understand the things of God (Rom 8:6-7). The natural mind believes that something we do will earn our salvation and righteousness with God. However, this prophecy states the true desire of God’s heart is not a work we can perform, but a heart attitude of willingness to obey Him in being merciful with love.
