Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary Definition of Truth:
Conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been, or shall be. The truth of history constitutes its whole value. We rely on the truth of the scriptural prophecies.
The clarity of this prophecy is stunning. It is stated 172 years before its fulfillment. Isaiah foretold it and then Jeremiah as a second witness. Babylon was used to chastise Israel, but God would see that the chastisement would come to an end. Daniel lived in times of prophetic fulfillment. His wisdom was recognized throughout the kingdom because he could interpret the signs of the times. Today we are living in a prophetic season where this generation will see more prophecy fulfilled than any other in the history of humanity.
THE FALL OF BABYLON
Isa 47:11 Disaster will come upon you, and you will not know how to conjure it away. A calamity will fall upon you that you cannot ward off with a ransom; a catastrophe you cannot foresee will suddenly come upon you.
Isa 48:14 “Come together, all of you, and listen: Which of the idols has foretold these things? The LORD’s chosen ally will carry out his purpose against Babylon; his arm will be against the Babylonians.
