God Makes The Ordinary Extraordinary
Why did God choose Mary to be Jesus’ mother? Mary was no different from any one of us. She was not royalty, but an everyday person. If we know nothing else from Scripture, we know God selected everyday people to carry out extraordinary acts. All they needed to be used of God was a willing heart. Mary certainly had that. Do you call your children blessed and thank God every day that He blessed you to be their mother? That is your calling and who God made you to be. He put children in your hands who are destined for greatness in God’s kingdom. He called you to nurture their growth, help them to know their own callings, tend to their needs, cry for them in the dark times, and rejoice with them as God reveals Himself in their lives. Every child is precious in God’s sight, and you have been given a holy task of stewardship over the children placed in your care—whether in birth, in a classroom, in your neighborhood, or in your extended family.
