Nimrod [Nĭm'rŏd]—valiant, strong or he that rules. A son of Cush, son of Ham. Nimrod was a mighty hunter and a potent monarch whose land bore his name (Gen. 10:8, 9; 1 Chron. 1:10; Micah 5:6).
