Version Information
The revised version of the Bulgarian Bible—which holds the canonical books alone—was printed in 1871 in Istanbul with the support of the British and Foreign Bible Society, and the efforts of Bulgarian scholars and American missionaries. It has gone through many revisions, 2010 being the most recent. The stylistic edition of the text is made by the famous Bulgarian poet of that time, P. K. Slaveykov. This Bible played a significant role in establishing a unified Bulgarian language, and it still follows the most contemporary tendencies of the Bulgarian language.
