Matthew 13:13

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables, because seeing, they see not, and hearing, they hear not, neither do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables; because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is the reason that I speak to them in parables: because having the power of seeing, they do not see; and having the power of hearing, they do not hear, nor do they grasp and understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is why I speak to the crowds in parables: although they see, they don’t really see; and although they hear, they don’t really hear or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 Here is why I speak to them in parables: they look without seeing and listen without hearing or understanding.

Matthew 13:13X

13 I use stories when I speak to them because when they look, they cannot see, and when they listen, they cannot hear or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 For this cause I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear nor understand;

Matthew 13:13X

13 Therefore do I speak to them in parables: because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is why I use these stories to teach the people: They see, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really hear or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is why I ·use stories to teach the people [L speak in parables]: [L Because] They ·see [look], but they don’t ·really see [perceive]. They hear, but they don’t really hear or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables, because they seeing, do not see: and hearing, they hear not, neither understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is why I speak to them this way. They see, but they’re blind. They hear, but they don’t listen. They don’t even try to understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 The reason I use parables in talking to them is that they look, but do not see, and they listen, but do not hear or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 For this reason I speak to them in parables, because looking they do not see, and hearing they do not listen or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

11-15 “Because you have been given the chance to understand the secrets of the kingdom of Heaven,” replied Jesus, “but they have not. For when a man has something, more is given to him till he has plenty. But if he has nothing even his nothing will be taken away from him. This is why I speak to them in these parables; because they go through life with their eyes open, but see nothing, and with their ears open, but understand nothing of what they hear. They are the living fulfilment of Isaiah’s prophecy which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive; for the heart of this people has grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their heart and turn, so that I should heal them’.

Matthew 13:13X

13 Therefore, I speak to them in parables because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 For this reason I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand,

Matthew 13:13X

12-13 “For to him who has will more be given,” he told them, “and he will have great plenty; but from him who has not, even the little he has will be taken away. That is why I use these illustrations, so people will hear and see but not understand.

Matthew 13:13X

11-15 He replied, “You’ve been given insight into God’s kingdom. You know how it works. Not everybody has this gift, this insight; it hasn’t been given to them. Whenever someone has a ready heart for this, the insights and understandings flow freely. But if there is no readiness, any trace of receptivity soon disappears. That’s why I tell stories: to create readiness, to nudge the people toward receptive insight. In their present state they can stare till doomsday and not see it, listen till they’re blue in the face and not get it. I don’t want Isaiah’s forecast repeated all over again:

Your ears are open but you don’t hear a thing.
Your eyes are awake but you don’t see a thing.
The people are blockheads!
They stick their fingers in their ears
    so they won’t have to listen;
They screw their eyes shut
so they won’t have to look,
so they won’t have to deal with me face-to-face
    and let me heal them.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is why dia I speak laleō to them autos in en parables parabolē, because hoti seeing blepō they do not ou see blepō and kai hearing akouō they do not ou hear akouō nor oude do they understand syniēmi.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is why I speak to them this way. They see, but they’re blind. They hear, but they don’t listen. They don’t even try to understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is why I use stories to teach the people: They see, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really hear or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 For this reason I speak to them in parables: Although they see they do not see, and although they hear they do not hear nor do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 Here is why I use stories when I speak to the people. I say,

“They look, but they don’t really see.
They listen, but they don’t really hear or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is why I speak to them in parables:

“Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is why I speak to them in parables:

‘Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 “This is why I speak to them in picture-stories. They have eyes but they do not see. They have ears but they do not hear and they do not understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 That is why I use these parables,

For they look, but they don’t really see.
They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 The reason I speak to them in parables is that ‘seeing they do not perceive, and hearing they do not listen, nor do they understand.’

Matthew 13:13X

13 The reason I speak to them in parables is that “seeing they do not perceive, and hearing they do not listen, nor do they understand.”

Matthew 13:13X

13 The reason I speak to them in parables is that “seeing they do not perceive, and hearing they do not listen, nor do they understand.”

Matthew 13:13X

13 The reason I speak to them in parables is that ‘seeing they do not perceive, and hearing they do not listen, nor do they understand.’

Matthew 13:13X

13 For this reason in meshalim I am speaking to them, for while seeing they do not see, and [while] hearing they do not hear, nor do they have binah (understanding).

Mattityahu 13:13X

13 This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 I teach in parables so the people may look but not see, listen but not hear or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don’t see, and hearing, they don’t hear, neither do they understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 That is why I tell them stories. They look, but they do not see. They listen, but they do not hear or understand.

Matthew 13:13X

13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, for they seeing see not, and they hearing hear not, neither understand;

Matthew 13:13X

13 `Because of this, in similes do I speak to them, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor understand,
