Habakkuk 2:4
4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith.
4 Behold, his soul is puffed up, it is not upright in him; but the righteous shall live by his faith.
4 Look at the proud; his soul is not straight or right within him, but the [rigidly] just and the [uncompromisingly] righteous man shall live by his faith and in his faithfulness.
4 Some people’s desires are truly audacious;
they don’t do the right thing.
But the righteous person will live honestly.
4 “Look at the proud: he is inwardly not upright;
but the righteous will attain life through trusting faithfulness.
4 “I, the Lord, refuse to accept
anyone who is proud.
Only those who live by faith
are acceptable to me.”
4 Behold, his soul is puffed up, it is not upright within him: but the just shall live by his faith.
4 Behold, he that is unbelieving, his soul shall not be right in himself: but the just shall live in his faith.
4 This message cannot help those who refuse to listen to it, but those who are good will live because they believe it.

4 Behold, he that lifteth up himself, his mind is not upright in him, but the just shall live by his faith,
4 “Look at the proud person. He is not right in himself.
But the righteous person will live because of his faithfulness.
4 And this is the message: ‘Those who are evil will not survive, but those who are righteous will live because they are faithful to God.’”
4 Look, his ego is inflated;
he is without integrity.
But the righteous one will live by his faith.
4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
4 Foul air the doubter breathes; by his faith he lives, who lives right.
4 Look! His spirit within him is puffed up;
it is not upright.
But the righteous shall live by his faithfulness.
4 “Look at that man, bloated by self-importance—
full of himself but soul-empty.
But the person in right standing before God
through loyal and steady believing
is fully alive, really alive.
4 “Look at the proud person. He is not right in himself.
But the righteous person will live because of his faithfulness.
4 “Behold, as for the proud one,
His soul is not right within him;
But the righteous will live by his faith.
4 The evil nation is very proud of itself;
it is not living as it should.
But those who are right with God will live by faith.
4 Look, the one whose desires are not upright will faint from exhaustion,
but the person of integrity will live because of his faithfulness.
4 “The Babylonians are very proud.
What they want is not good.
“But the one who is right with God
will live by faith.
4 “See, the enemy is puffed up;
his desires are not upright—
but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness—
4 ‘See, the enemy is puffed up;

but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness –
4 “Behold the proud,
His soul is not upright in him;
But the just shall live by his faith.
4 As for the proud one, his soul is not right in him. But the one who is right and good will live by his faith.

4 Lo! the soul of him, that is unbelieveful, shall not be rightful in himself; forsooth the just man shall live in his faith. (Lo! the soul of him, who is unbelieving, shall not be right within himself; but the just, or the righteous, shall live by faith.)
4 Lo, a presumptuous one! Not upright is his soul within him, And the righteous by his stedfastness liveth.
