This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you, in both of which I stir up your purity of mind by way of remembrance,
This is now, beloved, the second epistle that I write unto you; and in both of them I stir up your sincere mind by putting you in remembrance;
Beloved, I am now writing you this second letter. In this [as in the first one], I am stirring up your untainted mind to remind you,

Dear friends, I am writing you now this second letter; and in both letters I am trying to arouse you to wholesome thinking by means of reminders;
My dear friends, this is the second letter I have written to encourage you to do some honest thinking. I don't want you to forget
This, a second letter, beloved, I already write to you, in [both] which I stir up, in the way of putting you in remembrance, your pure mind,
Beloved, I am now writing this second letter to you, in which letters I am arousing your pure mind with a reminder
Behold this second epistle I write to you, my dearly beloved, in which I stir up by way of admonition your sincere mind:
My friends, this is the second letter I have written to you. I wrote both letters to you to help your honest minds remember something.
My friends, this is the second letter that I have written to you. I have written both these letters to help you to understand some things. You already know these things. I want you to think about them in a good way.

1 He showeth that he writeth the same things again. 2 Because they must often be stirred up, 3 because dangers hang over their heads through certain mockers. 8 Therefore he warneth the godly that they do not after the judgment of the flesh, 12 appoint the day of the Lord, 14 but that they think it always at hand, 15 in which doctrine he showeth that Paul agreeth with him. This second Epistle I now write unto you, beloved, wherewith I stir up, and warn your pure minds,
Dear friends, this is the second letter I’m writing to you. In both letters I’m trying to refresh your memory.

This is the second letter I have written to you, dear friends of mine, and in both of them I have tried to stimulate you, as men with minds uncontaminated by error, by simply reminding you of what you really know already. For I want you to remember the words spoken of old by the holy prophets as well as the commands of our Lord and saviour given to you through his messengers.
¶ Beloved, I now write unto you this second epistle, in which I alert with exhortation your pure understanding,

This is my second letter to you, dear brothers, and in both of them I have tried to remind you—if you will let me—about facts you already know: facts you learned from the holy prophets and from us apostles who brought you the words of our Lord and Savior.
My dear friends, this is now the second time I’ve written to you, both letters reminders to hold your minds in a state of undistracted attention. Keep in mind what the holy prophets said, and the command of our Master and Savior that was passed on by your apostles.
