Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you;
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial among you, which cometh upon you to prove you, as though a strange thing happened unto you:
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test you [that is, to test the quality of your faith], as though something strange or unusual were happening to you.
Beloved, do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your quality, as though something strange (unusual and alien to you and your position) were befalling you.
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
Dear friends, don’t be surprised when the fiery ordeal comes among you to test you, as if something unusual were happening to you.
Dear friends, don’t be surprised about the fiery trials that have come among you to test you. These are not strange happenings.
Dear friends, don’t regard as strange the fiery ordeal occurring among you to test you, as if something extraordinary were happening to you.
Dear friends, don't be surprised or shocked that you are going through testing that is like walking through fire.
Beloved, take not [as] strange the fire [of persecution] which has taken place amongst you for [your] trial, as if a strange thing was happening to you;
Beloved, do not be thinking-strange the fiery suffering among you coming upon you for a trial, as-though a strange thing were happening to you,
Dearly beloved, think not strange the burning heat which is to try you, as if some new thing happened to you;
My friends, don’t be surprised at the painful things that you are now suffering, which are testing your faith. Don’t think that something strange is happening to you.
My friends, I know that people are causing you to have bad trouble. It is like a fire that is burning you. Do not be surprised about that. These things are happening to you, to show whether you really trust God. Do not think that something strange is happening to you.
Dear friends, do not be surprised by the fiery trial that is happening among you to test you, as if something strange were happening to you.

Dear friends, don’t be surprised by the fiery troubles that are coming in order to test you. Don’t feel as though something strange is happening to you,
My dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful test you are suffering, as though something unusual were happening to you.
Dear friends, don’t be surprised when the fiery ordeal comes among you to test you as if something unusual were happening to you.
My friends, do not be surprised at the painful things you are now suffering. These things are testing your faith. So do not think that something strange is happening to you.
Dear friends, do not be surprised by the fiery ordeal that is taking place among you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.
And now dear friends of mine. I beg you not to be unduly alarmed at the fiery ordeals which come to test your faith, as though this were some abnormal experience. You should be glad, because it means that you are called to share Christ’s sufferings. One day, when he shows himself in full splendour to men, you will be filled with the most tremendous joy. If you are reproached for being Christ’s followers, that is a great privilege, for you can be sure that God’s Spirit of glory is resting upon you. But take care that none of your number suffers as a murderer, or a thief, a rogue or a spy! If he suffers as a Christian he has nothing to be ashamed of and may glorify God in Christ’s name.

Dear friends, don’t be bewildered or surprised when you go through the fiery trials ahead, for this is no strange, unusual thing that is going to happen to you.
Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.
