And one of the same place answered and said, “But who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb: “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
And one of the same place answered and said, And who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?
And a man from there answered, “But who is the father of the others?” So it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
One from that same place answered, But who is the father of the others? So it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?
And one of the same place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?
Then a man who was from there asked, “And who is their father?” As a result, “Is Saul also among the prophets?” became a popular saying.
One of the locals then asked, “And who is their leader?” So it became a proverb: “Is Saul also one of the prophets?”
Someone in the crowd answered, “Must prophets’ fathers be special?” So it became an expression — “Is Sha’ul a prophet, too?”
“Why not?” one of them answered. “Saul has as much right to be a prophet as anyone else!” That's why everyone started saying, “How can Saul be a prophet?”
And a man of that place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?
And one answered another, saying: And who is their father? therefore it became a proverb: Is Saul also among the prophets?
A man living in Gibeath Elohim said, “Yes, and it seems that he is their leader.” That is why this became a famous saying: “Is Saul also one of the prophets?”
A man who lived in Gibeah asked, ‘Do you know who is the father of all these prophets?’ Because of what happened, it became a proverb to say, ‘Has Saul himself become a prophet?’
Someone from that area responded, “Who is their father?” Therefore it became a saying: “Is even Saul among the prophets?”
And a man of the place answered, “And who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
And a man of the place answered, “And who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
A man who lived there ·said [answered; retorted], “Who is the father of these prophets [C Saul’s prophesying amazed and confused him]?” So this became a ·famous saying [proverb]: “Is ·even Saul one of [Saul also among] the prophets?”
And one of the same place answered, and said, But who is their father? Therefore it was a proverb, Is Saul also among the Prophets?
But a man from that place asked, “But who’s the chief prophet?” So it became a proverb: “Is Saul one of the prophets?”
A man who lived there asked, “How about these other prophets—who do you think their fathers are?” This is how the saying originated, “Has even Saul become a prophet?”
Then a man who was from there asked, “And who is their father?” As a result, “Is Saul also among the prophets?” became a popular saying.
A man who lived there said, “Who is the father of these prophets?” This became a famous saying: “Is even Saul one of the prophets?”
A man from there answered: “Now who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
And one of the same place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore, it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?
And one of the same place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?
And one of the same place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?
And a man there answered and said, “Now, who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb: “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
And a man from there responded and said, “And who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb: “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
And one of the neighbors added, “With a father like his?” So that is the origin of the proverb, “Is Saul a prophet too?”
When Saul and his party got to Gibeah, there were the prophets, right in front of them! Before he knew it, the Spirit of God came on Saul and he was prophesying right along with them. When those who had previously known Saul saw him prophesying with the prophets, they were totally surprised. “What’s going on here? What’s come over the son of Kish? How on earth did Saul get to be a prophet?” One man spoke up and said, “Who started this? Where did these people ever come from?” That’s how the saying got started, “Saul among the prophets! Who would have guessed?!”
And a man from there answered and said, “But who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
But a man from that place asked, “But who’s the chief prophet?” So it became a proverb: “Is Saul one of the prophets?”
And someone from that district responded, “And who is their father?” Thus the saying arose, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
And a man from there responded and said, “And who is their father?” Therefore it became a saying: “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
A man there said, “Now, who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb: “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
A man who lived there asked, “Who is their father?” This is why it became a saying, “Is Saul also one of the prophets?”
A man who lived there said, “Who is the father of these prophets?” So this became a famous saying: “Is even Saul one of the prophets?”
A man who was from there replied, “And who is their father?” Therefore this became a proverb: “Is even Saul among the prophets?”
A man who lived in Gibeah answered, “Yes, he is. In fact, he’s their leader.” That’s why people say, “Is Saul also one of the prophets?”
A man who lived there answered, “And who is their father?” So it became a saying: “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
A man who lived there answered, ‘And who is their father?’ So it became a saying: ‘Is Saul also among the prophets?’
Then a man from there answered and said, “But who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb: “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
One of the men there answered, “Now, who is their father?” So it became a saying: “Is Saul one of the men who speak God’s Word?”
And one of those standing there said, “Can anyone become a prophet, no matter who his father is?” So that is the origin of the saying “Is even Saul a prophet?”
A man of the place answered, ‘And who is their father?’ Therefore it became a proverb, ‘Is Saul also among the prophets?’
A man of the place answered, ‘And who is their father?’ Therefore it became a proverb, ‘Is Saul also among the prophets?’
A man of the place answered, “And who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
A man of the place answered, “And who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
And an ish from that place answered and said, And who is avihem (their father, cf Amos 7:14)? Therefore it became a mashal (proverb), Is Sha’ul also among the nevi’im?
And a man of the place answered, “And who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
And a man of the place answered, “And who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
(Someone there asked, “Who is their father?”) Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
Local Citizen: And who is their father? This is one way the saying, “Is Saul one of the prophets?” originated.
One from the same place answered, “Who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
And one man answered to another, and said, And who is the father of them? Therefore it was turned into a proverb, Whether also Saul is among the prophets? (And one man answered to another, and said, But who is their father? And so it was turned into a proverb, Is Saul now also among the prophets?)
And a man thence answereth and saith, `And who [is] their father?' therefore it hath been for a simile, `Is Saul also among the prophets?'
