Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”
Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
Do not be worshipers of handmade gods, as some of them were; just as it is written [in Scripture], “The people sat down to eat and drink [after sacrificing to the golden calf at Horeb], and stood up to play [indulging in immoral activities].”
Do not be worshipers of false gods as some of them were, as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink [the sacrifices offered to the golden calf at Horeb] and rose to sport (to dance and give way to jesting and hilarity).
Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
Don’t become idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and got up to party.
Don’t worship false gods like some of them did, as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink and they got up to play.
Don’t be idolaters, as some of them were — as the Tanakh puts it, “The people sat down to eat and drink, then got up to indulge in revelry.”
They worshiped idols, just as the Scriptures say, “The people sat down to eat and drink. Then they got up to dance around.” So don't worship idols.
Neither be ye idolaters, as some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.
And do not be idolaters, as some of them, as-indeed it has been written [in Ex 32:6], “The people sat-down to eat and drink, and stood up to play”.
Neither become ye idolaters, as some of them, as it is written: The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
Don’t worship idols as some of them did. As the Scriptures say, “The people sat down to eat and drink and then got up to have a wild party.”
Do not worship idols, as some of them did. The Bible says: ‘The people sat down to eat and to drink. After that, they got up from their meal and they danced.’
Do not become idolaters like some of them—as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and got up to celebrate wildly.”
Do not be idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.”
Do not be idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.”
Do not worship idols, as some of them did. Just as it is written in the Scriptures: “The people sat down to eat and drink, and then they got up and ·sinned sexually [L played; C a euphemism for immoral revelry; Ex. 32:6].”
Neither be ye idolaters as were some of them, as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
So don’t worship false gods as some of them did, as Scripture says, “The people sat down to a feast which turned into an orgy.”
nor to worship idols, as some of them did. As the scripture says, “The people sat down to a feast which turned into an orgy of drinking and sex.”
Don’t become idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and got up to play.
Do not worship idols, as some of them did. It is written in the Scriptures: “The people sat down to eat and drink. Then they got up and had wild parties.”
Let’s stop being idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to play.”
For I should like to remind you, my brothers, that our ancestors all had the experience of being guided by the cloud in the desert and of crossing the sea dry-shod. They were all, so to speak, “baptised” into Moses by these experiences. They all shared the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink (for they drank from the spiritual rock which followed them, and that rock was Christ). Yet in spite of all these wonderful experiences many of them failed to please God, and left their bones in the desert. Now in these events our ancestors stand as examples to us, warning us not to crave after evil things as they did. Nor are you to worship false gods as they did. The scripture says—‘The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.’
Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.
Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
Do not be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and stood up to play.”
and not become idolaters, as some of them did, just as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and stood up to play,”
nor worship idols as they did. (The Scriptures tell us, “The people sat down to eat and drink and then got up to dance” in worship of the golden calf.)
The same thing could happen to us. We must be on guard so that we never get caught up in wanting our own way as they did. And we must not turn our religion into a circus as they did—“First the people partied, then they threw a dance.” We must not be sexually promiscuous—they paid for that, remember, with 23,000 deaths in one day! We must never try to get Christ to serve us instead of us serving him; they tried it, and God launched an epidemic of poisonous snakes. We must be careful not to stir up discontent; discontent destroyed them.
Neither be idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to revel.”
So do not become idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.”
So don’t worship false gods as some of them did, as Scripture says, “The people sat down to a feast which turned into an orgy.”
And do not become idolaters, as some of them did, as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to revel.”
Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.”
Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and stood up to play.”
Do not become idolaters, as some of them did. It is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and they rose up to engage in revelry.”
Do not worship idols, as some of them did. Just as it is written in the Scriptures: “They sat down to eat and drink, and then they got up and sinned sexually.”
So do not be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.”
So don’t worship statues of gods, as some of them did. It is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink. Then they got up to dance wildly in front of their god.” (Exodus 32:6)
Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.”

And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”
We must not worship false gods as some of them did. The Holy Writings tell us, “The people sat down to eat and drink. Then they got up to play.”
or worship idols as some of them did. As the Scriptures say, “The people celebrated with feasting and drinking, and they indulged in pagan revelry.”
Neither be worshippers of images like some of them were, as it is written: The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up again to play.
Do not become idolaters as some of them did; as it is written, ‘The people sat down to eat and drink, and they rose up to play.’
Do not become idolaters as some of them did; as it is written, ‘The people sat down to eat and drink, and they rose up to play.’

Nor should we commit idolatry, as some of them did—as the Bible says, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and got up to play.”
Neither should you become ovdei elilim (idolaters), as some of them did, as it has been written, "And the people sat to eat and to drink and they got up to revel” SHEMOT 32:6.
nor be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”

Do not be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”
don’t degrade yourselves by worshiping anything less than the living God as some of them did. Remember it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and then rose up in dance and play.”
Don’t be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”Exodus 32:6

Neither become ye idolaters, as certain of them, as it hath been written, `The people sat down to eat and to drink, and stood up to play;'
